Budget Steak

3 lb steak, 2” thick
    meat tenderizer
1 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp minced parsley
1/4 tsp hot sauce


Sprinkle the steak generously with meat tenderizer.  Combine the remaining ingredients in a shallow bowl, then add the steak and refrigerate overnight.  Remove the steak from the marinade, reserving the marinade.  Place steak on rack six inches above hot coals and grill for twelve to fifteen minutes, basting occasionally with reserved marinade.  Turn and grill for ten to fifteen minutes long for medium done steak.
